Version 0.2.7
Version 0.2.7 is done. Here is a changelog of things:
1. Battles for territory will end when one or another civilization has 0 soldiers, instead of them losing soldiers for no reason
2. The proportion of a country's size that makes it annexable is determined by tech level. After tech level 5, countries can annex countries they're more than 10x the size of, tech 10, countries can annex countries they are more than 7x larger than, at tech 25, countries can annex countries they are more than 5x the size of, and at tech level 50, countries can annex countries they're more than twice the size of.
3. Decreased the probability of civilizations levelling up technologically
4. Using the mousewheel to scroll the game speed now doesn't zoom the camera in unless the mouse is outside of the spinbox
5. Implemented a "border" system - there is now a difference between a country's "frontier" and "border" - the "frontier" borders unclaimed territory, the "border" borders other civilizations' territories. The result is that civilizations expand into unclaimed land and conquer claimed territory, rather than having to rely on probability.
6. War exhaustion does not decrease linearly with technology:
1. Below tech level 10, it will decrease by 0.5% each second
2. After tech level 10 it will decrease by 1%
3. After tech level 25 it will decrease by 2.5%
7. War exhaustion now increases by 0.5% with each offensive battle lost
8. All requirements for integrating occupied territories have been removed - it now happens passively
9. When you click on a civilization, it becomes pure white, to see everything it controls easier
10. Civilizations' agendas are now semi-random, rather than being based on highly-rigid logic
11. The simulation starts off paused when you launch it
12. When you press on a Civilization to get more info, the text saying to do so disappears
13. The simulation pause label also says "press SPACE to unpause"
14. Instead of changing agenda with a 10-second timer, civilizations now have a 10% chance to change agenda each second.
15. Civilizations will only expand when they have the "Expansion" Agenda active.
16. When a civilization annexes a different civilization, occupied territory will be lost if it is too far away from the civilization's capital - this distance is determined by technology
17. Made the game speed spinbox uneditable unless the mouse is over it
18. Removed the top-left corner being occupied by a random civilization and forming an ugly exclave
19. Lowered the chance of civilizations gaining tech after losing a battle to a technologically-superior foe
